The Windows Azure Architect program is a high-level Microsoft training program, developed in and managed from Sweden. The purpose of the program is to help developers and developing organizations make the best possible use and take maximum advantage of the Windows Azure Platform, both in terms of architecting applications for that platform and of implementing them.
The program consists of 13 modules and each module of one or more topics. Some of the modules are reinforced by one or more demos or electronic presentations.
The content is designed to give students the deep understanding and knowledge of the Windows Azure Platform they need to be able to architecturally design and implement Windows Azure applications which meet business and usage requirements, are pleasant to use, and take full advantage of the platform with its amazing capabilities.
There are two distinctive characteristics that we hope will help you better digest the content and get the most practical value out of it.
The content is designed from an outside point of view; rather than just describing each and every Windows Azure feature from a technical point of view the program builds a Windows Azure application in different versions, where each version takes advantage of a specific set of Windows Azure features. This has allowed the program authors to go from describing the easy parts and then, step by step, go on to more advanced concepts.
Parts of the content are described in the form of dialogs between a teacher and his three disciples. The personas involved are the teacher, an IT manager, a software architect, and a senior developer. This way of presenting the content has helped the authors to lighten it up, hopefully helping you to get a better grip on sometimes difficult concepts and giving you a better experience from consuming the content.
